TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE ORDINANCE NOTICES

TAKE NOTICE that an ordinance entitled Ordinance 2026-919 ORDINANCE AMENDING “THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF GREEN BROOK”, ARTICLE 6 “ZONE DISTRICT REGULATIONS” BY AMENDING SECTION 620 “AFFORDABLE HOUSING DISTRICT – AHD 5 DISTRICT” This ordinance amends the existing AHD-5 district in order to ensure access requirements comply with Residential Site Improvement Standards.  This ordinance was introduced and passed on first reading on February 2, 2026 and was finally adopted by the Township of Green Brook, County of Somerset, New Jersey, after public hearing held, February 17, 2026 and is effective upon first publication thereof after final adoption as provided by law.

TAKE NOTICE that an ordinance entitled Ordinance 2026-920 ORDINANCE AMENDING “THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF GREEN BROOK”, ARTICLE 6 “ZONE DISTRICT REGULATIONS” BY AMENDING SECTION 618 “VILLAGE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT” This ordinance is to adjust the minimum affordable housing set-aside to 20% regardless of tenure (for sale or rent).  This ordinance was introduced and passed on first reading on February 2, 2026 and was finally adopted by the Township of Green Brook, County of Somerset, New Jersey, after public hearing held, February 17, 2026 and is effective upon first publication thereof after final adoption as provided by law.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Township Committee of the Township of Green Brook in the at a meeting held on February 17, 2026 introduced and passed on first reading an ordinance entitled: Ordinance 2026-921 “AN ORDINANCE DELETING AND REPLACING SECTION 9-3 “AFFORDABLE HOUSING REQUIREMENTS” OF CHAPTER 9 “BUILDING AND HOUSING” OF THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF GREEN BROOK TO UPDATE THE TOWNSHIP’S AFFORDABLE HOUSING ORDINANCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DECEMBER 2025 UNIFORM HOUSING AFFORDABILITY CONTROLS, DECEMBER 2025 N.J.A.C. 5:99 REGULATIONS, AND THE AMENDED FAIR HOUSING ACT”  This ordinance updates Green Brook’s housing rules to comply with the new state regulations per the Fair Housing Act.  Said ordinance will be considered for hearing and final passage at a meeting of the Township Committee to be held at 111 Greenbrook Road, Green Brook, NJ 08812 on 3/2/26 at 7:30pm.  A copy of the entire ordinance from the Municipal Clerk at Town Hall during business hours up to and including the time when the Township Committee shall further consider this ordinance for final passage.

TAKE NOTICE that an ordinance entitled Ordinance No. 2025-918 BOND ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY IN AND BY THE TOWNSHIP OF GREEN BROOK, IN THE COUNTY OF SOMERSET, NEW JERSEY, APPROPRIATING $2,400,000 THEREFOR AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $2,285,000 BONDS OR NOTES OF THE TOWNSHIP TO FINANCE PART OF THE COST THEREOF, which is to provide for funding for the purchase of property for purposes of affordable housing. This ordinance was introduced and passed on first reading on November 17, 2025 and was finally adopted by the Township of Green Brook, County of Somerset, New Jersey, after public hearing held, December 29, 2025 and is effective upon first publication thereof after final adoption as provided by law.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Township Committee of the Township of Green Brook in the at a meeting held on December 15, 2025 introduced and passed on first reading an ordinance entitled: ORDINANCE 2025-918 BOND ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY IN AND BY THE TOWNSHIP OF GREEN BROOK, IN THE COUNTY OF SOMERSET, NEW JERSEY, APPROPRIATING $2,400,000 THEREFOR AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $2,285,000 BONDS OR NOTES OF THE TOWNSHIP TO FINANCE PART OF THE COST THEREOF. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Land Use Board of the Township of Green Brook will hold a public hearing on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 7:30 P.M. The purpose of the public hearing will be to allow public questions and comments on the Amended Housing Plan Element and Fair Share Plan of the Master Plan.  Formal action may take place. Annual Meeting Notice

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 13 of Chapter 231, Public Law 1975, that the following has officially been adopted by the Land Use Board of the Township of Green Brook, in the County of Somerset, New Jersey as its schedule of regularly scheduled meetings for the Calendar Year 2026 and January 2027.

Regular meetings will be held on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in Town Hall on 111 Greenbrook Rd, Green Brook, NJ 08812.

Land Use Board – 2026 -2027 Scheduled Meeting Dates

Agendas, files, plans and maps relating to any applications scheduled for hearing will be posted on the Township website prior to the meeting. Alternatively, these documents are available for inspection by appointment at the Township of Green Brook Municipal Building (111 Greenbrook Road, Green Brook, New Jersey) by contacting Erin Santora LaGrua at elagrua@greenbrooktwp.org.

NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS: The 2026 Tax List for Green Brook will be available for public inspection in accordance with N.J.S.A. 54:4-38 on 1/29/2026. Taxpayers can review the assessment list at 111 Greenbrook Rd, Green Brook, NJ at any time from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. This is an opportunity for taxpayers to informally review the correctness of their assessments before the final list is filed with the Somerset County Board of Taxation. Please ensure to take advantage of this opportunity to verify your property assessments and address any discrepancies.
