WHEREAS, the local municipal budget for the Township of Green Brook was introduced on the 20th day of July 2026; and,

Notice to Bidders m- NJDOT FY2026 – Charles Lane and Kappelmann Drive Improvements Project
Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received by the Township Committee of the Township of Green Brook, Somerset County, New Jersey for “NJDOT FY2026 – Charles Lane and Kappelmann Drive Improvements Project” and be opened and read in public at the Meeting Room at Town Hall, 111 Greenbrook Road, Green Brook, NJ 08812 on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, 10:00 am prevailing time.
The project consists of the resurfacing of Charles Lane and Kappelmann Drive. Improvements include HMA milling and paving, full depth base repair, upgrading inlets with eco curb pieces and bicycle safe grates, replacement of striping in kind, site restoration, addition of ADA-compliant sidewalk ramps and detectable warning surfaces as well as other improvements depicted within the Bid Documents.
All work on this contract shall be completed within sixty (60) calendar days, from issuance of a Notice to Proceed.
Contract Documents for the proposed work, which have been prepared by the Township Engineer, Kevin E. Boyer, P.E., C.F.M., of the firm Colliers Engineering & Design Inc., are available at Green Brook Town Hall, 111 Greenbrook Road, Green Brook, NJ 08812, and may be inspected by prospective bidders between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:00 pm beginning on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. Bidders must contact the clerk’s office upon arrival at the building to receive contract documents. The clerk’s office can be reached at (732) 968-1023, x6602.
Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the Contract Documents by request upon proper notice and payment of a non-refundable charge of one hundred dollars ($100.00) payable to Green Brook Township to defray the cost thereof. Proposals must be made on the standard Proposal forms in the manner designated in the Contract documents, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the project on the outside and be addressed to Township Committee, Township of Green Brook, and must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Township of Green Brook and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of the Township of Green Brook for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond for the full amount of this project is required.
The award of the Contract for this project will not be made until the necessary funds have been provided by the Township of Green Brook in a lawful manner.
Proposals for this Contract will only be accepted from bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Contract documents.
The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Township. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications.
