Water Main Replacement - Lenox Avenue

New Jersey American Water is preparing to replace approximately 2,150 feet of aging cast iron main that was installed in the 1930s with new ductile iron main along Lenox Avenue (from Fitz Randolph Street to Highland Street). The project also includes replacing two fire hydrants and 28 utility-owned service lines along the pipeline route (see reverse for more information about service lines).

Weather permitting, our contractor, Montana Construction, Inc., will begin work on or about July 20 and be completed by the end of September. Work hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work outside of these hours is not expected unless required to maintain project schedule. Final street restorations will be completed in the fall.
